It was the unusual tile-like structure of the original Diaper wallpaper design from 1868 that led to the development of the Pure Scroll wallpaper. The term 'Diaper' was traditionally used to describe the square, diamond and chequer repeating patterns used in weaving. Shown here in the gilver colourway.
